Noida Authority Floats Tender to Complete Long-Delayed Golf Course in Sector 151-A

The ₹58-crore Golf Course project in Sector 151-A, Noida, has faced delays since construction began in 2021, with the authority now seeking a new agency to finish the remaining work.

  • Around 65% of the golf course project has been completed so far.
  • The project covers 113 acres along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
  • The remaining construction is expected to take about a year after a new agency is appointed.

Noida: The Noida Authority has invited fresh bids to appoint an agency for completing the long-delayed Golf Course project in Sector 151-A. The ₹58-crore development, situated along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, was originally targeted for completion in 2022, about a year after construction started in July 2021.

The project has remained incomplete after the agency responsible for its construction was blacklisted last year over delays. According to officials, approximately 65% of the work has already been completed, while the remaining construction will now be handed over to a new agency selected through the latest tender process.

The unfinished portion includes several major components of the complex, particularly the clubhouse, banquet hall, podium and external development. Officials said the new contractor will also have to complete finishing work such as granite installation, false ceilings, wall panelling and PVC flooring.

The project is planned across 113 acres, including a 94-acre golf course, a seven-acre clubhouse and parking area, and an eight-acre driving range. The scale of the development is intended to make it more than a conventional golf facility, with spaces designed for recreation, business gatherings and large events.

A.K. Arora, General Manager at the Noida Authority, said the authority expects the remaining work to be completed within approximately one year once the new agency is appointed. The fresh tender is aimed at restarting construction and bringing the stalled project towards completion.

Once operational, the clubhouse is expected to feature facilities including a conference hall, gymnasium, billiards hall, tennis court, spa, sauna, guest rooms and luxury suites. These facilities could allow the complex to host corporate meetings, social gatherings and international-level events in addition to golf-related activities.

Another major development planned near the project is a heliport spread across approximately 9.3 acres. The proposed facility would be located adjacent to the golf course complex, adding another high-end infrastructure component to the area.

The completion of the golf course could also strengthen the recreational and commercial profile of Sector 151-A, which is located along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and has witnessed infrastructure and real estate development in recent years.

The immediate priority for the Noida Authority is to complete the tender process and appoint a new construction agency. After the appointment, work on the pending clubhouse, external development and finishing activities is expected to resume. If the new schedule stays on track, officials expect the project to be ready within about a year of the agency taking charge.
