Noida: A dispute over the management of Eldeco Aamantran Society in Noida’s Sector 119 intensified on Sunday when a group of residents gathered outside the residences of former Apartment Owners Association (AOA) office-bearers. The protesters alleged that members of the previous AOA were interfering in the functioning of the current association and demanded that the elected body be allowed to run the society without obstruction.
The protest took place around noon and involved residents raising slogans against former AOA president Nikhil Singhal and the former secretary. Residents said their concerns related to the society’s management and other issues had been raised on several occasions, but they were dissatisfied with the response and wanted greater clarity on how various matters were being handled.
The current AOA, however, rejected allegations of wrongdoing. Its office-bearers said the association was carrying out its responsibilities in accordance with the applicable rules. They also alleged that members of the former AOA were creating unnecessary hurdles in the functioning of the present association.
The confrontation highlights continuing differences among residents and the former and current AOA teams over the administration of the housing society. Such disputes can affect day-to-day decision-making, communication with residents and the overall functioning of common facilities and society management.
The immediate focus is likely to remain on resolving the disagreement between the current and former AOA members. Residents are seeking clarity on the issues they have raised, while the current association maintains that it is operating according to the prescribed rules. Any further escalation could require intervention from the relevant authorities or other appropriate forums.
