The Agra Development Authority has launched registrations for 1,626 residential plots under the Greater Agra Housing Scheme, offering planned township living while experts urge buyers to assess costs and risks.

  • Online registration for 1,626 residential plots is open until July 29, 2026.
  • The project includes Narmadapuram and Gangapuram townships.
  • Experts advise buyers to verify legal documents and calculate total ownership costs before investing.

The Agra Development Authority (ADA) has started online registrations for the Greater Agra Housing Scheme, offering 1,626 residential plots across two newly planned townships. Applications opened on June 29, 2026, and interested buyers can submit their applications online until July 29, 2026.

The scheme is attracting attention from both homebuyers and investors because it is part of a large urban development project aimed at expanding Agra with modern residential infrastructure.

The plots are being offered in Narmadapuram Township and Gangapuram Township, with 718 plots and 908 plots, respectively. The base price has been fixed at ₹33,000 per square metre, and applications are being accepted only through ADA’s official online portal.

The project is part of a larger ₹5,142 crore development spread across 449.65 hectares near Raipur and Rehankalan villages. It is planned to benefit from connectivity through the Yamuna Expressway, Lucknow-Agra Expressway, and the Inner Ring Road, making it a significant residential development for the region.

The Greater Agra Housing Scheme is designed as a modern township project featuring planned residential sectors, wide roads, green spaces, healthcare facilities, apartments, group housing, and civic infrastructure. Such developments often attract buyers because of better planning and long-term growth potential.

However, experts note that strong infrastructure alone does not guarantee high property appreciation. Future returns will depend on timely project completion, surrounding infrastructure development, employment generation, and overall demand in the local real estate market.

Homebuyers looking to build their own house and long-term investors may consider the scheme after evaluating their financial goals. Before applying, prospective buyers should verify all project documents, understand the payment structure, and assess potential risks such as construction delays, policy changes, resale challenges, and additional ownership costs.

With registrations remaining open until July 29, 2026, applicants have time to make an informed decision before investing.
