New Delhi: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced a mega e-auction of over 140 residential and commercial plots across prime locations in the national capital. The initiative is part of DDA’s ongoing efforts to monetize vacant land and streamline property allocation through a transparent, digital system.
According to officials, the e-auction scheme opened for registrations on April 22, and the process for submitting the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) will remain active until May 22. The plots included in the auction are located in high-demand areas and cater to a wide range of buyers, including individual homebuyers, investors, and businesses.
The auction portfolio comprises 24 residential plots, 21 industrial plots, and 16 commercial plots, along with a diverse mix of other property types. Additionally, 57 built-up commercial units, including shops, institutional plots, and spaces designated for religious use, are part of the offering. The scheme also includes multi-level car parking sites and smaller commercial units available on a license basis.
Among the highlighted offerings are kiosks available on a monthly license fee, a food court in Dwarka, a fuel station, a group housing plot, and commercial units at prominent locations such as Janak Place. A café site at Bamboo Oasis in Baansera is also included, reflecting DDA’s focus on mixed-use and lifestyle-oriented developments.
A senior DDA official stated that the authority has curated a diverse portfolio in this phase to meet the growing demand for residential development, commercial expansion, and institutional infrastructure across Delhi. The official added that the initiative is aligned with the authority’s long-term strategy to enhance annual revenue while addressing the evolving urban needs of the city.
To participate in the e-auction, applicants must possess a valid digital signature. Detailed information regarding property specifications, eligibility criteria, and auction procedures is available on the official DDA website, along with downloadable documents for applicants.
The authority emphasized that the entire process will be conducted online to ensure maximum transparency and efficiency. Applicants will be notified about further updates, including property-wise auction schedules, via their registered email IDs after the registration phase concludes.
Officials have also advised interested participants, especially those applying for commercial properties such as shops, kiosks, and food court spaces, to carefully review all guidelines and eligibility requirements before completing their registration.
With this large-scale auction, DDA aims not only to generate substantial revenue but also to accelerate planned urban development and provide new opportunities for investment in Delhi’s real estate sector.
