Mumbai: Radhika Rahane, wife of Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, has purchased two luxury residential apartments in Mumbai’s Dadar West for ₹24.75 crore. The property transactions were registered on October 29, 2026, according to registration documents accessed by real estate consultancy Liases Foras. The apartments are situated in the under-construction Oceana residential project at Shivaji Park, adding another high-value property transaction to Mumbai’s luxury housing market.

Both apartments were purchased from Kohinoor Planet Constructions Private Limited and are located on a higher floor of the residential development on Keluskar Road South. Together, the properties have a RERA carpet area of 3,391.75 square feet and include six dedicated car parking spaces. The combined transaction value reflects continued demand for premium residential properties in established Mumbai neighbourhoods.

According to the registration documents, Radhika Rahane paid approximately ₹1.23 crore in stamp duty across the two agreements. She also benefited from the Maharashtra government’s 1% stamp duty concession for women property buyers, introduced in March 2021. The seller’s side was represented by Avinash Vishnu Chitre, who acted as the power of attorney holder for admission and acknowledgment on behalf of Unmesh Manohar Joshi, a director of Kohinoor Planet Constructions Private Limited.

The apartments are situated in Shivaji Park, one of Dadar’s established residential locations in Mumbai. The neighbourhood is known for its residential character, connectivity and access to essential urban facilities.

Residents have access to railway connectivity, educational institutions, healthcare facilities and recreational spaces. Its established social infrastructure and location within Mumbai make the area an attractive destination for buyers seeking premium residential properties.

The purchase also highlights the continued activity in Mumbai’s luxury housing segment, where high-value transactions involving business personalities, celebrities and professionals regularly attract attention.

Radhika Rahane is an interior designer and social media personality. She is married to Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, who has represented India in international cricket and previously captained the Indian Test team.

The latest apartment purchase adds to the family’s association with Mumbai’s real estate market. In 2024, the Maharashtra government allotted a 21,348-square-foot plot in Bandra West to Ajinkya Rahane for developing a sports facility.

The plot, located near Lilavati Hospital, was proposed to be leased for 30 years at a premium of ₹4.88 crore, along with lease rent at applicable rates determined by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).

The Bandra West plot had originally been allotted to the Sunil Gavaskar Cricket Foundation Trust in 1988 for a 60-year period. The trust was expected to establish an indoor cricket academy on the land within three years but reportedly failed to complete the proposed development.

Following the prolonged delay, the Maharashtra state housing department cancelled the original allotment in June 2022. The land was subsequently allotted to Ajinkya Rahane for establishing a sports facility.

The plot measures approximately 21,348 square feet and is located in a prime part of Bandra West, close to Lilavati Hospital. The proposed development was intended to support sports infrastructure in Mumbai.

The latest property transactions were registered on October 29, 2026. An email seeking comments was sent to Radhika Rahane and Kohinoor Planet Constructions Private Limited regarding the purchase. Ajinkya Rahane could not be reached for comment at the time of reporting.

The transaction adds to the list of prominent high-value residential property purchases in Mumbai. Further details or statements from the buyers or developer may provide additional information about the acquisition and the Oceana development.
