  • DDA sold 9,332 flats in the first seven months of FY 2026-27, marking 80% annual growth.
  • Narela contributed more than 90% of DDA’s total housing sales during this period.
  • Booking for three ongoing DDA housing schemes has been extended until December 31, 2026.

Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has recorded an 80% increase in housing sales during the first seven months of the financial year 2026-27. Between April and October 2026, the authority sold 9,332 residential flats across different categories, compared with 5,198 units during the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The increase comes as DDA continues to offer housing options for buyers across different income groups in Delhi.

The authority recorded an additional 4,134 flat sales compared with the same period last year. Its recent housing initiatives have covered Lower Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG) and Higher Income Group (HIG) categories. Among the different locations, Narela has emerged as the largest contributor, accounting for more than 90% of the total flats sold during the current financial year so far.

According to DDA, the improvement in sales reflects growing public interest in its housing schemes. In its official statement, the authority attributed the growth to its continued efforts to accelerate housing development and the monitoring of these initiatives by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu. DDA also highlighted the development of Delhi’s sub-cities as part of its broader housing strategy.

Narela has emerged as a key location in DDA’s housing sales, contributing over 90% of the flats sold between April and October 2026.

The authority has attributed the area’s growing residential appeal to improvements in regional connectivity and infrastructure. Two major projects supporting its development include the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) and the upcoming Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro Corridor.

These infrastructure developments are expected to improve connectivity between Narela and other parts of Delhi and the surrounding NCR region. Better road and metro connectivity could also make the area more accessible for people considering residential properties in North Delhi.

To provide prospective buyers with additional time to explore available residential units, DDA has extended the booking period of three ongoing housing schemes until December 31, 2026.

The extension applies to the following schemes operating under the First Come, First Served (FCFS) system:

  1. DDA Karmayogi Awaas Yojana 2025
  2. DDA Karmajeevi Awaas Yojana 2026
  3. DDA Nagrik Awaas Yojana 2026

Under the FCFS mechanism, eligible buyers can select available flats based on the booking process and inventory offered under the respective schemes.

The extension is intended to give interested applicants more time to review available housing options and complete the booking process.

The rise in DDA housing sales highlights the continued demand for residential properties offered through government housing schemes. The strong contribution from Narela also draws attention to emerging residential locations where infrastructure development is supporting housing activity.

For prospective homebuyers, the extended booking window provides another opportunity to explore DDA’s available inventory across different income categories. However, buyers should review the location, flat configuration, price, payment schedule and possession-related details before making a booking decision.

The growing focus on Narela also reflects the importance of infrastructure connectivity in shaping residential demand across Delhi.

With the booking deadline extended to December 31, 2026, prospective buyers can continue exploring flats available under the three ongoing DDA housing schemes.

The authority’s future sales performance will depend on available inventory, pricing, buyer interest and the pace of infrastructure development in locations such as Narela. Progress on UER-II and the Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro Corridor will also remain important for the area’s long-term residential prospects.

Homebuyers interested in these schemes should check the latest availability, eligibility conditions and booking instructions through DDA’s official website before applying.
