Greater Noida West: Homebuyers of Amrapali Leisure Valley Verona Heights in Techzone 4, Greater Noida West, staged a protest over delays and concerns surrounding possession of their flats.
According to the protest message, buyers said they have been paying EMIs and rent for several years, but are still seeking clarity on possession. The banners displayed by the protesters also referred to a long waiting period and demanded action regarding the pending handover.
The issue comes against the backdrop of the prolonged completion of Amrapali projects following the collapse of the Amrapali Group. NBCC was appointed to undertake completion of several Amrapali projects, including Leisure Valley Verona Heights. The project is located in Techzone IV, Greater Noida West, and comprises 2 BHK and 3 BHK apartments.
The Court Receiver’s official website shows that the process for Leisure Valley Verona Heights possession letters and NOC letters had commenced by January 24, 2026.
The office subsequently issued further notices in 2026 concerning homebuyers awaiting NOC and possession. A June 1, 2026 notice specifically addressed homebuyers who had not taken key handover from NBCC and referred to a final opportunity for physical possession of units.
This indicates that possession and handover processes have been progressing for the project, although the latest protest highlights that some buyers continue to raise concerns about their individual possession status and timelines.
The Verona Heights project has been associated with a lengthy delay dating back to the Amrapali Group’s financial and legal troubles. Previous reports have documented protests by buyers over construction and possession delays.
For homebuyers who have continued servicing home loans while also paying for rented accommodation, delays in receiving possession can create an additional financial burden. The latest protest reflects the continuing demand from affected buyers for clearer communication and resolution of pending possession-related matters.
