Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer has rented a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Worli locality for a period of three years, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards. The lease agreement, registered on June 10, 2026, carries a total rental value of approximately ₹7.14 crore, highlighting the continued strength of Mumbai’s premium residential rental market.

The apartment is located in Artesia, a luxury residential tower in Worli, one of Mumbai’s most sought-after real estate destinations. Spread across approximately 3,875 square feet, the residence includes four car parking spaces. As per the lease agreement, the monthly rent starts at ₹18.50 lakh during the first year, increases to ₹19.79 lakh in the second year, and reaches ₹21.18 lakh in the final year. The lease tenure is 36 months.

Property records show that a stamp duty of ₹1.84 lakh and registration charges of ₹1,000 were paid during the registration process. The apartment has been leased from property owners Ramesh Bhatia and Vijaya Bhatia.

According to Square Yards, the transaction reflects the growing demand for premium rental residences in Mumbai’s luxury housing segment. The company noted that Shreyas Iyer remains one of India’s leading cricket personalities, recognized for his performances in international cricket, domestic tournaments, and the Indian Premier League (IPL). Neither the property owners nor Shreyas Iyer were available for comment regarding the transaction.

The deal underscores the strong demand for luxury rental properties in Mumbai, particularly in prime locations such as Worli. High-profile professionals, celebrities, and business leaders continue to prefer leasing premium residences that offer world-class amenities, strategic connectivity, and exclusivity. With the lease now registered, Shreyas Iyer is expected to occupy the residence under the agreed three-year arrangement.
