He also emphasised the importance of effective project monitoring and the implementation of provisions under the RERA Act to safeguard homebuyers’ interests.
The newly approved projects are expected to support construction activity and generate employment across the state. Their development could also create business opportunities for allied industries, including cement, steel, construction materials, transportation, engineering and other infrastructure-related services. For homebuyers, the approvals expand the pipeline of registered real estate developments across multiple districts.
Going forward, the developers will need to undertake project development in accordance with applicable RERA requirements, including regulatory compliance and prescribed reporting obligations. UP RERA has indicated that it will continue monitoring developments to promote planned growth and protect consumer interests.

Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddh Nagar also feature prominently in the latest approvals, with proposed investments of ₹943.28 crore and ₹940.43 crore, respectively.
Ghaziabad has received approval for two residential projects comprising 1,016 units. Meanwhile, Gautam Buddh Nagar has received approval for one mixed-use development involving an estimated investment of ₹940.43 crore and 456 proposed units.
The approvals are relevant to the wider Delhi-NCR real estate market, where residential and mixed-use developments continue to contribute to the region’s property development pipeline.
Kanpur, Meerut and Other Districts Also Receive Approvals
Beyond the major urban centres, UP RERA has cleared projects in five additional districts.
Kanpur has received approval for one residential development worth ₹524.66 crore, comprising 597 units. In Meerut, one residential project involving an investment of ₹194.28 crore will add 313 proposed units.

These approvals extend the latest development pipeline beyond the state’s larger property markets.
UP RERA Emphasises Transparency and Homebuyer Protection
UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy stated that the authority is focused on creating a more transparent and accountable real estate environment in Uttar Pradesh.
He highlighted the importance of timely project approvals and effective monitoring to improve the overall development process for both homebuyers and developers.
The authority also reiterated its commitment to implementing the RERA Act, protecting consumer interests and supporting balanced real estate growth across the state.
What the Latest Project Approvals Mean for Uttar Pradesh’s Real Estate Market
The approval of these projects is expected to support investment and construction activity across multiple districts. The developments may also create additional demand for construction materials, engineering services, logistics, labour and other businesses connected with the real estate industry.
For the residential market, the approvals represent additional proposed housing supply in cities such as Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Kanpur and Meerut. In Gautam Buddh Nagar, the approval of a mixed-use project adds to the district’s development pipeline.
However, project approval should not be confused with project completion or possession readiness. Homebuyers should check the project’s RERA registration details, approved plans, completion timelines and other disclosures before making a purchase decision.
As construction progresses, UP RERA’s monitoring and regulatory oversight will remain important in ensuring that developers meet their obligations and deliver projects in accordance with applicable regulations.
