Supertech Homebuyers Protest in Noida Over Long-Delayed Flat Deliveries

Noida: Around 200 homebuyers from 16 incomplete Supertech housing projects staged a protest outside the company’s Sector 96 office in Noida, demanding immediate action on delayed construction and flat deliveries. The protest was held on Saturday as buyers expressed frustration over the prolonged uncertainty surrounding their homes.

The homebuyers alleged that there has been no meaningful progress for nearly 21 months, despite the involvement of the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC). They are seeking immediate commencement of construction, project-wise completion schedules and effective implementation of directions issued by the courts and authorities. The issue matters because thousands of families linked to delayed projects continue to face uncertainty over when their homes will actually be delivered.

The protesters also raised questions about the implementation process following the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) proceedings. According to the buyers, NCLAT had directed NBCC in December 2024 to complete the contract award process within a month. They further claimed that construction was initially expected to begin in May 2025, while subsequent deadlines were also not achieved.

The buyers said they want the concerned committee and NBCC to provide a transparent, project-wise status report along with specific construction and completion dates. They also questioned the lack of regular communication and access to officials responsible for monitoring the projects.

Several protesters alleged that they had already incurred expenses related to committee remuneration, consultancy and other legal and administrative processes, but had yet to see corresponding progress at their projects. NBCC has not publicly responded to the allegations cited by the protesting homebuyers.

Homebuyers also raised concerns about the monitoring mechanism involving the committee and the court-appointed Amicus Curiae. They alleged that repeated requests for meetings and updates had not received satisfactory responses.

According to the protesters, the absence of easily accessible and regularly updated information has made it difficult for affected families to determine the actual status of their respective projects. They are demanding that all stakeholders provide clear information on construction status, contractors, pending approvals and expected delivery dates.

The protesters have called for construction work to restart immediately and for a firm completion schedule to be shared with every affected homebuyer. They also want the relevant authorities to ensure that court and tribunal directions are implemented within the prescribed framework.

Homebuyers have indicated that they could escalate their campaign if their concerns remain unresolved, including organising a march to Parliament. For buyers waiting for possession, the immediate priority remains visible construction activity and a credible, publicly communicated timeline for completion.
