SAMHI Hotels to Develop 162-Room Upscale Property in Noida
SAMHI Hotels partners with Ingka Centres to build a 162-room upscale hotel in Noida, strengthening NCR’s hospitality landscape within a major mixed-use development combining retail, leisure, and community spaces.

- 162-room upscale hotel planned in Noida’s mixed-use mega project
- Partnership between SAMHI Hotels Limited and Ingka Centres
- Project to boost Noida’s position as a commercial and hospitality hub
Noida: SAMHI Hotels Limited has announced plans to develop a 162-room upscale hotel in Noida. The project will be executed through its subsidiary, SAMHI Skyline Private Limited, in collaboration with Ingka Centres.
The upcoming hotel will be part of a large mixed-use development spread across approximately 2.5 million square feet. Positioned as a landmark addition to Noida’s urban landscape, the project aims to combine hospitality, retail, and leisure into a single integrated ecosystem.
This development is aligned with Ingka Centres’ globally recognised “Meeting Places” concept, which focuses on creating vibrant destinations where people can shop, work, relax, and stay. By integrating a premium hotel into this environment, the project is expected to enhance the overall visitor experience while also catering to business and leisure travellers.
From a strategic perspective, the collaboration reflects SAMHI’s focus on scaling through partnerships with institutional players. The company will leverage its strong operational expertise in the hospitality sector, while Ingka Centres will bring its global experience in designing and delivering large mixed-use developments.
The hotel will operate under an international brand, which is yet to be announced. Industry experts believe that the brand association, combined with the project’s prime location, could make it a preferred destination for corporate travellers, tourists, and event-based visitors in the region.
One of the key advantages of the project is its location within a high-footfall mixed-use ecosystem. Such developments typically generate strong captive demand, as visitors to retail, entertainment, and office spaces also contribute to hotel occupancy. This integrated approach is increasingly becoming a trend in urban real estate, particularly in rapidly growing cities like Noida.
The project will follow SAMHI’s capital-efficient business model. Under this structure, Ingka Centres will be responsible for developing the building’s core structure and infrastructure, while SAMHI will invest in interior fit-outs and manage hotel operations. This approach allows the company to expand its portfolio while optimising capital deployment.
Commenting on the development, Ashish Jakhanwala, Chairman and Managing Director of SAMHI Hotels, highlighted that the partnership marks a significant step in strengthening the company’s footprint in the National Capital Region. He noted that Noida’s strong demand drivers and growing commercial importance make it an ideal location for such a project.
Echoing similar sentiments, Giovanni Princiotta Cariddi, Country Manager, Ingka Centres India, said that the collaboration aligns with the company’s vision of creating integrated urban destinations. He emphasised that adding a high-quality hospitality component will enhance the overall ecosystem and deliver a more complete experience for visitors and the local community.
The new project will further strengthen SAMHI’s presence in the Delhi NCR market, where it already operates several prominent properties, including Hyatt Place Gurgaon, Holiday Inn Express Gurgaon, and Holiday Inn Express Greater Noida.
With Noida rapidly emerging as a business and lifestyle hub, developments like this are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the city’s future skyline. The addition of a globally branded upscale hotel within a mixed-use environment signals a shift towards more integrated and experience-driven urban planning in the region.
