Ranbir Kapoor Buys Rs 3.31 Crore Land in Ayodhya’s The Sarayu Project

Ayodhya: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has made a major investment in Ayodhya’s rapidly growing real estate market by purchasing a premium land parcel at The Sarayu, a luxury plotted development by The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). The deal, valued at approximately Rs 3.31 crore, further highlights Ayodhya’s emergence as a preferred destination for both spiritual living and long-term property investment.

According to details shared by the developer, the actor acquired a 2,134 sq. ft. land parcel within the 75-acre riverfront project located along the banks of the Sarayu River. The investment comes at a time when Ayodhya is witnessing a sharp rise in tourism, infrastructure expansion, and demand for branded land developments.

Over the last few years, Ayodhya has transformed from a traditional pilgrimage destination into one of India’s fastest-growing spiritual and cultural cities. Massive investments in roads, railways, airport connectivity, urban development, and hospitality have significantly changed the city’s landscape. Government and allied infrastructure investments in Ayodhya are estimated to have crossed Rs 85,000 crore, driving increased interest from homebuyers, investors, and developers alike.

Industry experts believe that luxury plotted developments are becoming increasingly popular in Ayodhya due to the city’s growing importance on the global spiritual tourism map. With improved infrastructure and rising visitor numbers, investors are now viewing Ayodhya as both an emotional and financial investment opportunity.

The Sarayu project by HoABL is designed to combine Ayodhya’s spiritual identity with modern lifestyle infrastructure. The development includes a grand clubhouse, more than 35 lifestyle amenities, landscaped spaces, and a five-acre fully vegetarian luxury hotel that will be managed by The Leela. The project also focuses on planned community living, clear land titles, and technology-enabled ownership processes.

Speaking about his investment, actor Ranbir Kapoor said Ayodhya holds deep cultural and historical significance for India and described the investment as a meaningful addition to his family’s legacy. He also appreciated HoABL’s transparent and digital buying process, which made the transaction smooth and convenient.

Commenting on the development, Abhinandan Lodha said Ayodhya is currently at the centre of India’s cultural and spiritual resurgence. He noted that increasing tourism, infrastructure growth, and international attention are creating strong long-term opportunities in the city’s real estate sector. According to him, projects like The Sarayu aim to establish new benchmarks for spiritually inspired yet world-class developments.

Tourism growth in Ayodhya has also accelerated significantly after the Ram Mandir development. Government estimates suggest that annual visitor numbers, which earlier stood at around 5.75 crore, increased to nearly 23 crore between January and June 2025 alone. Authorities expect the figure to touch almost 50 crore visitors by the end of the year, creating rising demand for hotels, residential developments, retail spaces, and supporting infrastructure.

Founded in 2020, HoABL has quickly emerged as one of India’s largest branded land developers. The company claims to have sold over 13 million sq. ft. of developed land across multiple states within five years. Its projects largely focus on transparent land ownership, digital transactions, and premium plotted developments in high-growth destinations.
