Noida Authority Stops Attempted Encroachment on 2,000 Sq Metres of Land in Sector 140A
Boundary wall construction on notified Authority land in Shahdara village was stopped by Work Circle-7 during an on-site intervention.
Noida: The Noida Authority has stopped an alleged attempt to encroach upon around 2,000 square metres of its land in Sector 140A. The incident took place in Shahdara village, where a boundary wall was reportedly being constructed on Authority land.
Following instructions from the Noida Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, officials from Work Circle-7 reached the site and intervened before the construction could proceed further. The action helped secure the Authority’s land and prevent its unauthorised occupation.
According to information released by the Authority, the construction activity was taking place around Plot No. 03 and a 45-metre-wide road in Shahdara village. The land falls under the jurisdiction of Work Circle-7.
The Authority said its field team reached the location after receiving information about the construction. Officials stopped the boundary wall work and took steps to prevent further occupation of the notified land.
The Authority has urged residents and other stakeholders not to undertake construction or attempt to occupy land notified by the Noida Authority without proper authorisation.
Officials have stated that unauthorised construction or occupation of such land can be treated as encroachment and may invite action under the applicable rules. The Authority has also appealed to citizens to cooperate with Noida’s planned development framework.
Protection of Authority-owned land is important for maintaining planned land use and preventing unauthorised development. Encroachments can also interfere with land earmarked for roads, public infrastructure and other planned uses.
The intervention in Sector 140A highlights the Authority’s field-level monitoring of its land and its efforts to stop unauthorised construction before it expands further.
The Noida Authority is expected to continue monitoring the site and take further action if any unauthorised construction or occupation is found. Residents are advised to verify land ownership and development permissions before undertaking construction on land falling within notified Authority areas.
