New Delhi: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched the DDA Karmajeevi Awaas Yojana 2026, offering more than 1,200 ready-to-move flats in Delhi’s Narela area at a 25% discount. Announced ahead of Independence Day, the scheme is aimed at serving and retired government employees as well as working professionals. The flats will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, making early registration important for interested buyers.

The scheme includes 1 BHK, 2 BHK and 3 BHK apartments, all available on a freehold basis, allowing buyers complete ownership of their property. After the discount, prices start at Rs 33.40 lakh for 1 BHK, Rs 75.55 lakh for 2 BHK, and Rs 1.065 crore for 3 BHK units. Registration will begin on July 24, while flat bookings will open on August 15 through the DDA Awaas Portal. Since there will be no lottery, flats will be allotted to eligible applicants in the order bookings are confirmed.

According to the DDA, the Karmajeevi Awaas Yojana 2026 has been introduced to make homeownership more affordable while supporting planned urban development and inclusive growth in the national capital. The authority said the initiative focuses on providing ready-to-move homes at reduced prices, helping eligible buyers avoid construction delays while offering the security of freehold ownership.

The housing scheme is expected to benefit first-time homebuyers and government employees looking for affordable housing in Delhi. Narela is emerging as a key residential destination due to several ongoing and proposed infrastructure projects. The housing complex is located around 500 metres from Urban Extension Road-1 (UER-1), 1.1 km from GT Karnal Road, 1.2 km from the upcoming Metro station, and 1.9 km from the proposed RRTS station. It is also close to the Narela Sports Complex and the upcoming Education Hub, which could improve connectivity and boost long-term property values.

Eligible applicants interested in the scheme should complete their registration once the portal opens on July 24 and keep the necessary documents and finances ready before bookings start on August 15. As the flats will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis rather than through a lottery, applying early could improve the chances of securing a preferred unit. With discounted pricing, ready possession, and improving infrastructure in Narela, the scheme offers a timely opportunity for buyers seeking affordable homes in Delhi.
