Bollywood icon Salman Khan is set to enter Telangana’s real estate and creative landscape with a massive Rs 10,000 crore investment through Salman Khan Ventures. The project includes a sprawling 500-acre integrated township along with a world-class film production studio, positioning the state as a new hub for cinema and lifestyle development.

The announcement was made during the Telangana Rising Global Summit, an event organised by the state government to attract large-scale domestic and international investments. The initiative supports Telangana’s broader goal of building a $3 trillion economy by strengthening infrastructure, media, tourism, and technology sectors.

A key highlight of the Salman Khan Telangana Township is a state-of-the-art film studio designed to cater to feature films, OTT platforms, and high-budget productions. The facility will offer advanced post-production services, VFX support, sound design, and talent development programs. Industry experts say the studio could significantly reduce dependence on Mumbai and overseas locations for high-end production work, making Telangana a self-sufficient filmmaking destination.

This marks the first time a Bollywood superstar has committed to such a large-scale studio project in the state.

Alongside the studio, the integrated township will be developed as a modern, self-contained destination. Plans include premium residential communities, mixed-use commercial zones, luxury hotels, high-street retail, and multiple entertainment hubs. Recreational infrastructure will feature a championship golf course, race course, nature trails, and dedicated shooting ranges. The township is also expected to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs while boosting regional tourism.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy welcomed Salman Khan’s investment, calling it a landmark moment for the state’s creative economy. He assured full government support, including fast-track approvals, land structuring, and infrastructure connectivity to ensure timely execution of the project.

The Telangana Rising Global Summit also saw the signing of memorandums of understanding worth Rs 2.43 lakh crore with major players such as Reliance Vantara, Trump Media and Technology Group, Brookfield Axis Ventures, and the GMR Group. Together, these investments highlight Telangana’s growing reputation as a stable, investor-friendly destination.

With the Salman Khan Telangana Township and film studio project, the state takes another step toward becoming a national center for entertainment-led urban development and premium real estate.
