Delhi Development Authority’s new housing scheme for government employees receives an impressive response, with majority flats booked on day one, reflecting strong demand for affordable homes in Narela.

  • 60% of 684 flats booked within the first day of launch

  • Scheme expected to generate around Rs 450 crore in revenue

  • Booking open till March 31, 2026 through DDA Awaas Portal

DDA Karmayogi Awaas Yojana has received an overwhelming response from homebuyers. Within just 24 hours of opening bookings, around 60 percent of the 684 flats on offer were successfully booked, signaling strong demand for affordable housing in Delhi.

The scheme, which began on January 14 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, is specially designed for serving and retired government employees. It is open to employees of central and state governments, public sector undertakings, and other government bodies.

According to DDA officials, the impressive first-day performance is expected to generate nearly Rs 450 crore in revenue. Authorities believe the response reflects growing buyer confidence in DDA housing projects and highlights Narela’s emergence as a promising residential hub.

The strong demand was seen across all housing categories. One BHK flats were almost sold out on the very first day, showcasing the urgent need for affordable, ready-to-move homes. Meanwhile, two BHK units contributed the highest revenue, indicating rising interest in larger residential options as well.

DDA credited the success to ongoing infrastructure development and urban planning initiatives in Narela. The area now enjoys improved road connectivity through GT Karnal Road and Urban Extension Road-II. Additionally, the proposed Rithala–Narela–Kundli Metro Corridor is expected to further enhance accessibility and boost the locality’s residential appeal.

In recent developments, DDA has also allocated land in Narela for new campuses of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Delhi Teachers’ University, strengthening the area’s social infrastructure.

The flats under this scheme are located in Pocket 9, Sector A1 to A4, Narela, and bookings are being carried out through a fully online process on the official DDA Awaas Portal. The scheme will remain open for applications until March 31, 2026, giving eligible buyers ample time to secure a home.

With strong early momentum and improving connectivity, the Karmayogi Awaas Yojana is being seen as one of DDA’s most successful housing initiatives in recent years.
