ATS Allure Residents Protest Against Maintenance Charge Hike in Greater Noida

Residents of ATS Allure in Greater Noida's Yamuna City protested a sharp maintenance fee hike, alleging poor services, security lapses, and unresolved complaints despite paying higher charges.

  • Residents oppose nearly 40% increase in maintenance charges.
  • Protesters raise concerns over security, women’s safety, and fire preparedness.
  • Homeowners demand rollback of revised fees until services improve.

Greater Noida: Residents of ATS Allure Society in Yamuna City staged a protest after the society management increased maintenance charges by nearly 40%, effective July 1. Homeowners alleged that the revised fee is unfair as the quality of maintenance, security, and other essential services has not improved. The protest took place at the society’s main gate, where residents demanded an immediate rollback of the increased charges.

According to residents, the monthly maintenance rate has been revised from ₹2.65 per sq. ft. to ₹3.65 per sq. ft. A notice regarding the hike was reportedly issued on June 25, leaving residents with only a few days before the new rates came into effect. Protesters argued that increasing charges without addressing long-pending issues places an unnecessary financial burden on homeowners.

Residents also raised several concerns regarding the society’s overall management. They claimed that security arrangements remain inadequate despite repeated complaints. Many highlighted a recent incident in which a security supervisor allegedly behaved inappropriately with a woman resident and sent objectionable messages.

While the security agency reportedly removed the supervisor after seeking an explanation, residents said they were dissatisfied as no police complaint had been registered. Homeowners also expressed concern over the condition of firefighting equipment, alleging that it has not been inspected for a long time.

The protest reflects growing frustration among residents who say they invested in ATS Allure expecting a premium living experience but continue to face issues related to maintenance, safety, and basic services. Several homeowners alleged that complaints submitted to the management over the past months have remained unresolved, even as maintenance costs continue to rise.

Residents have urged the society management to withdraw the revised maintenance charges until services improve. They have also called for stronger security measures, better fire safety preparedness, and quicker resolution of pending complaints. At the time of publishing, ATS Allure management had not issued an official response regarding the protest or the maintenance fee revision.
