Mumbai: Singer Sonu Nigam has sold a commercial property in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) for ₹18 crore, according to property registration documents. The 3,082 sq ft office unit is located in Trade Centre, opposite the MTNL Building in Bandra East. The transaction was registered on September 4, 2026, nearly three years after Nigam purchased the property for ₹14.30 crore in November 2023.
The office is situated on the ground floor of Trade Centre and has a recorded carpet area of 3,082 sq ft. SAA Estate LLP is listed as the buyer in the registration documents, while Sonu Nigam is named as the seller. The transaction also includes two car parking spaces. Based on the recorded consideration and carpet area, the deal works out to approximately ₹58,404 per sq ft.
The registration records show that the property changed hands for a consideration of ₹18 crore, with ₹1.08 crore paid as stamp duty. While the transaction documents establish the sale value and property details, there has been no separate public statement from Sonu Nigam regarding the reason for selling the office or his future plans for the proceeds.
The sale highlights the premium commanded by commercial real estate in BKC, one of Mumbai’s most sought-after business districts. The area has developed into a major destination for financial institutions, corporate headquarters, professional services firms and premium office developments. Limited availability of prime commercial space has also supported high property values in the district.
Trade Centre has previously attracted investments from other well-known personalities. Singer Kailash Kher also sold an office in the same building in September 2026, adding to the attention around transactions involving the commercial complex. His unit, located on the seventh floor, measured 2,619 sq ft and was sold for ₹10.75 crore.
For Sonu Nigam, the latest transaction represents a ₹3.70 crore difference between the original purchase price and the recorded sale consideration, before accounting for stamp duty, registration expenses, taxes and other transaction costs. The deal further demonstrates the continued investor interest in well-located commercial properties in BKC.
