Alibag, Maharashtra: Kannada actor Yash and his wife Radhika Pandit have expanded their real estate portfolio with the purchase of a premium beachfront land parcel in Alibag. The transaction, valued at ₹24 crore, was officially registered on May 18, 2026, and adds the couple to the growing list of celebrities investing in the coastal town.

The deal highlights Alibag’s rising popularity as one of India’s most sought-after destinations for luxury holiday homes and long-term real estate investments.

According to property registration documents reviewed by real estate consultancy Liases Foras, the couple acquired two adjoining agricultural land parcels located in Village Kamath, Taluka Alibag, Raigad district.

Together, the plots cover approximately 5,289 square metres and include a residential structure. The land enjoys a prime location with the Arabian Sea on one side and direct beach access through a narrow lane, making it a highly desirable waterfront asset.

The documents reveal that the property was registered for ₹24 crore. In addition to the purchase value, the buyers paid ₹1.44 crore in stamp duty, ₹60,000 in registration fees, and ₹5,200 in document handling charges. The land is classified as agricultural land under Section 7 and carries a recorded valuation rate of ₹3,750 per square metre.

The newly acquired property is strategically positioned in Village Kamath, one of Alibag’s preferred luxury residential pockets. Real estate experts believe that beachfront land parcels in the region remain limited in supply, making them attractive for both lifestyle buyers and long-term investors.

The purchase also reflects a broader trend among high-net-worth individuals and celebrities seeking spacious coastal retreats outside major metropolitan cities. With improving infrastructure and connectivity between Mumbai and Alibag, demand for premium land and luxury villas has remained strong.

Over the past decade, Alibag has transformed into Maharashtra’s premier destination for second homes and luxury vacation properties. Several prominent celebrities and business leaders have already established residences in the area.

Among the most notable owners is Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, whose sea-facing property, Deja Vu Farms, is one of Alibag’s best-known celebrity homes. Actor couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh reportedly own a luxury coastal retreat near Kihim Beach valued at more than ₹22 crore.

Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma are also known to own multiple properties in the region, including a sprawling estate in Zirad. Reports further indicate that Suhana Khan acquired a property in Thal village worth nearly ₹13 crore.

Several other celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kartik Aaryan, and Kriti Sanon, have also reportedly invested in Alibag’s premium real estate market.

While no official details have been shared regarding future development plans for the newly purchased land, industry observers expect the property could eventually be transformed into a luxury private retreat or vacation home.
