Residents of Amrapali Societies Protest Over Security Scam
Residents allege a massive security scam involving fake billing of 175 guards, while only 28 were found on duty, triggering protests, chaos, and police intervention late at night.

- Residents claim billing for 175 guards, but only 28 found on ground
- Allegations of fake attendance and financial fraud worth crores
- Protest escalates at night; police called to control situation
A major controversy has erupted at Amrapali Golf Homes and Amrapali Kingdom Society after residents exposed what they describe as a large-scale “security scam,” raising serious concerns over safety and financial mismanagement.
According to residents, despite regular monthly billing for as many as 175 security guards, the actual security presence in the society is alarmingly low. The issue came to light during a surprise headcount conducted by residents late at night, where only 28 guards were found deployed on the premises.
Residents allege that fake attendance records are being maintained to justify inflated bills running into crores. They claim that the security agency has been receiving full payments for months, while the society’s safety has been left severely compromised.
The agency has reportedly been managing security operations for over six months. However, residents say the ground reality paints a completely different picture, exposing what they believe is a well-planned financial fraud.
Serious allegations have also been made against the ad-hoc Apartment Owners Association (AOA), with residents accusing it of collusion with the security agency. According to them, this is not mere negligence but a systematic operation where funds are being siphoned off while essential services remain neglected.
The situation escalated when responsible authorities allegedly failed to produce attendance registers upon demand. As the discrepancy became evident, angry residents staged a protest and even removed the remaining guards from the society gates.
The protest quickly turned tense, forcing authorities to call the police to manage the situation and prevent further escalation.
Residents have strongly demanded a high-level investigation into the matter. They are calling for a detailed audit of the security contracts, scrutiny of the ad-hoc AOA’s role, and strict legal action against all those found guilty.
They have also urged authorities to immediately restore a transparent and robust security system within the society to ensure residents’ safety.
Residents warn that if timely action is not taken, they will be compelled to launch a large-scale आंदोलन (protest) in the coming days.
