Gurugram Mahapanchayat on August 19 Over DLF Plot Owners Issue
A Mahapanchayat in Gurugram on August 19 will bring together DLF plot owners and building owners to discuss property rights, court orders and the impact of the new PG and TOD policies.

Gurugram: A major Mahapanchayat is scheduled to take place in Gurugram on August 19, 2026, bringing together DLF plot owners, building owners and residents to raise concerns over property-related issues affecting thousands of people across the city.
The gathering is expected to focus on issues concerning more than 6,500 DLF plot owners, while organisers have stressed that the matter extends beyond DLF colonies. They say recent court orders, along with the new PG Policy and Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Policy, could have wider implications for property and building owners across Gurugram.
The Mahapanchayat will begin at 11 AM onwards at Rapid Metro Park, Cyber City Bundh, DLF Phase-3. The organisers have appealed to affected property and building owners, as well as supporters from several parts of Gurugram, to participate.
According to the organisers, participation has been encouraged from areas including Nathupur, Sirhaul, Wazirabad, Ghata, Badshahpur, Chakkarpur, Kanhai, Jharsa, Sikanderpur, Manesar, Dundahera and Mohammadpur.
The broad participation is intended to highlight that the concerns being raised are not restricted to one developer or one residential area. Instead, organisers are presenting the meeting as a wider discussion on how policy changes and legal developments could affect property ownership, construction and building use across Gurugram.
The organisers believe that the implications of court orders and policy changes need to be discussed collectively by affected property owners. The PG Policy and TOD Policy, in particular, have become important issues for building owners because changes in permitted property use, development norms and related regulations can directly affect how properties are used and developed.
The organisers have therefore urged residents and property owners to look beyond the immediate DLF issue and participate in the discussion about the city’s broader development framework and property-related rights.
While the concerns of more than 6,500 DLF plot owners are a key reason behind the gathering, organisers say the Mahapanchayat should not be viewed solely as a dispute involving DLF.
Their stated objective is to bring together property owners from different parts of Gurugram and discuss issues that could have a broader impact on the city’s residential and building landscape.
The August 19 meeting could therefore become an important platform for property owners to collectively raise their concerns and seek clarity on the impact of court decisions and changing development policies.
