Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh: Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has purchased nearly 55 bigha of agricultural land in his ancestral village in Budhana, located in Muzaffarnagar district. The actor recently visited the Budhana registrar office to complete the legal registration process, attracting the attention of locals and fans in the area.
Photos from his visit quickly circulated on social media, showing the actor at the registrar’s office alongside family members.
According to reports, Siddiqui arrived in his hometown on March 12 to finalize the land deal. The registration formalities were completed in the presence of Sub-Registrar Pankaj Kumar Jain, while legal paperwork was handled by advocate Prashant Sharma.
Several members of the Siddiqui family were present during the process, including his brother Faizuddin Siddiqui, along with relatives Almasuddin Siddiqui and Majuddin Siddiqui.
As news of the actor’s visit spread, many residents gathered outside the registrar’s office hoping to see the Bollywood star.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui originally belongs to the Budhana Bangar region of Muzaffarnagar, and the newly purchased farmland has been registered in his name.
While the exact value of the deal has not been officially disclosed, some media reports estimate that the land could be worth around ₹6 crore. There are also claims that the property may have been purchased jointly with several other individuals.
After completing the paperwork, the actor reportedly visited his mother in the village before leaving the area.
The land purchase comes a few years after Siddiqui was involved in a family dispute over ancestral property.
In 2023, his younger brother Shamshuddin Siddiqui filed a legal case seeking a share in the family property following the death of their father. The ancestral assets were reportedly valued at around ₹100 crore.
After their father’s passing, the property had been transferred to their mother Mehroonisa, but the matter eventually reached the Civil Judge Senior Division court on November 17, 2023.
Reports suggest that the dispute was resolved with an understanding that the property would eventually be divided among the brothers.
Later, Nawazuddin transferred the power of attorney of the ancestral land to his brother Almasuddin Siddiqui, stating that the property would remain under his authority during his lifetime and be distributed among family members afterward.
