YEIDA to Launch 3,800 Residential Plots Near Noida International Airport
YEIDA is preparing to launch 3,800 affordable residential plots across three sectors near Noida International Airport, aiming to provide housing options for lower-income families and industrial workers.

- Around 3,800 affordable plots to be offered in Sectors 17, 18, and 20.
- Each residential plot will measure 40 square metres.
- Scheme targets lower-income families and workers near Noida International Airport.
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is preparing to launch a new affordable residential plot scheme offering around 3,800 plots for lower-income families in Sectors 17, 18, and 20. The initiative comes as demand for affordable housing continues to rise near the Noida International Airport, where rapid industrial and infrastructure development is creating new employment opportunities.
The scheme is expected to provide homeownership options for workers employed in the region’s growing industrial and logistics hubs.
Under the proposed scheme, each plot will measure 40 square metres. Sector 18 will have the highest number of plots with 2,880 units, followed by 455 plots in Sector 17 and 463 plots in Sector 20. The Authority increased the minimum plot size from 30 sq m to 40 sq m last year after an internal assessment concluded that larger plots would allow families to build safer and more functional homes. The decision also reflects the area’s evolving urban development needs.
According to YEIDA officials, the affordable housing initiative is designed to support lower-income households, especially employees working in upcoming industries, logistics parks, and commercial developments along the Yamuna Expressway corridor. Officials said the revised plot size balances affordability with better living standards while meeting the housing requirements of the rapidly developing airport region.
The scheme is expected to ease the growing demand for residential land in the area. YEIDA’s previous residential plot scheme received more than one lakh applications for only 973 plots, highlighting the strong interest among homebuyers. By offering a significantly larger number of affordable plots, the Authority aims to improve housing access for economically weaker sections and support the workforce driving the region’s industrial growth.
YEIDA is expected to announce the scheme officially in the coming weeks, along with details regarding eligibility criteria, pricing, the application process, and the allotment procedure. Once launched, the scheme is likely to attract strong participation from first-time homebuyers and families looking to live close to the Noida International Airport and the expanding industrial corridor.
