Summercool to Invest Rs.300 Crore in New Ghaziabad Manufacturing Plant

• Rs 250–300 crore investment planned in a 5-acre Ghaziabad facility
• More than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs expected
• Commercial production targeted to begin in October 2026

Ghaziabad: Summercool Home Appliances has announced an investment of Rs 250–300 crore to establish a new manufacturing facility in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, marking a major step in the company’s expansion plans.

The project was officially launched with a groundbreaking ceremony, and production is expected to begin in October 2026, ahead of the festive Navratri season. The investment is expected to boost local manufacturing, create employment opportunities, and strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as a growing industrial hub.

The upcoming facility will be spread across 5 acres and will manufacture a wide range of consumer appliances. These include washing machines, air coolers, televisions, induction cooktops, mixers, and several other home and kitchen products. According to the company, the plant is designed to increase production capacity and meet rising consumer demand across India.

Speaking on the development, Ashutosh Gupta, Director of Sales and Marketing at Summercool Home Appliances, said the new manufacturing unit represents another important milestone in the company’s growth journey. He added that the investment reflects Summercool’s long-term commitment to building a stronger manufacturing ecosystem in India while creating employment and supporting Uttar Pradesh’s industrial development.

He also said the company will continue investing in infrastructure, innovation, and manufacturing capabilities as it expands its product portfolio.

The project is expected to generate more than 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, benefiting the local workforce and supporting economic growth in the region. The investment also aligns with the government’s focus on promoting domestic manufacturing and encouraging companies to expand production within India.

Looking ahead, Summercool has indicated that the Ghaziabad facility is part of a broader expansion strategy. Along with commencing production in October, the company plans to establish additional manufacturing units in the future to further strengthen its presence in India’s home appliance market.
