Mumbai: Actor Akshaye Khanna has purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Malabar Hill area for Rs 33.26 crore. The property transaction was registered in September 2026, according to property registration records reviewed by Square Yards through the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website.
The apartment is situated at 30 Little Gibbs on Malabar Hill Road, one of South Mumbai’s prominent luxury residential locations. The property has a carpet area of 2,341.39 sq ft (217.52 sq m) and an additional balcony area of 175.45 sq ft (16.29 sq m). Together, the areas total 2,516.84 sq ft (233.82 sq m). The apartment also includes three parking units.
The transaction involved significant statutory charges. The registration records show that Rs 1.99 crore was paid as stamp duty, while the registration fee was Rs 30,000. The purchase adds another high-value residential asset to Khanna’s property portfolio.
Malabar Hill is among Mumbai’s established premium residential neighbourhoods and is known for its prime South Mumbai location. Its access to key areas such as Marine Drive, Nariman Point and Colaba, along with its sea-facing properties and established residential environment, has made the locality attractive to luxury homebuyers and high-profile residents.
The latest purchase comes as Akshaye Khanna continues his acting career. With its spacious layout, multiple parking spaces and location in one of Mumbai’s most expensive residential zones, the apartment represents a substantial addition to the actor’s real estate holdings.
