  • Salarpur Community Hall Gets Noida Authority Approval
  • The two-storey hall will include event spaces, bridal and groom rooms, four rooms, washrooms and modern infrastructure.
  • Tenders have been invited, with construction expected to take around one year after the contractor is selected.

Noida: The Noida Authority has approved the construction of a modern community hall in Salarpur village, Sector 81, addressing a long-standing demand from local residents. The project received in-principle approval from Noida Authority CEO Krishna Karunesh on July 21, and tenders have now been invited for the construction work.

The facility is expected to give residents a local venue for weddings, family functions, social gatherings and community events.

The proposed community hall will be built at an estimated cost of ₹5.77 crore. The project will feature a two-storey building with modern facilities. The structure will have a built-up area of 486.08 square metres, along with landscaping and other external development works. The project is significant for Salarpur residents, who currently have limited options within the locality and often need to arrange functions at private banquet halls.

Greek-Themed Building with Modern Facilities

The Noida Authority plans to give the community hall a distinctive Greek-inspired architectural theme. The facility has been planned not just as a function venue but as a multipurpose community space that can accommodate different types of gatherings.

The ground floor will feature a double-height main hall designed for larger events, along with a reception area. Separate bridal and groom rooms will also be provided, with attached washrooms. In addition, separate washroom facilities for men and women will be available for guests.

The first floor will have another hall and four rooms, each with an attached washroom. This layout will allow the building to serve both large celebrations and smaller meetings, social programmes and community activities.

The project goes beyond construction of the main building. The development plan also includes drainage, electrical infrastructure, landscaping, beautification and other supporting works around the premises.

A dedicated drainage arrangement is particularly important during the monsoon, as it is intended to reduce the possibility of waterlogging within the community hall premises. Electrical infrastructure will also be developed to support the requirements of different functions and events.

According to the project plan, the Authority has given the go-ahead for the construction after considering the demand for a dedicated community facility in Salarpur. With tenders now invited, the project will move into the contractor-selection stage before construction can begin.

The Authority has also emphasised that the construction should follow the required quality and safety standards. Once the construction agency is selected and the contract is finalised, work is expected to begin.

Once completed, the new facility could provide Salarpur and nearby communities with a more affordable and accessible option for hosting large gatherings. Its multiple halls, rooms and dedicated wedding facilities are also expected to make it suitable for a wider range of community functions.

The immediate priority for the Noida Authority is to complete the tendering process and appoint a construction agency. After the contract is awarded, construction is expected to take approximately one year.

If the project progresses according to schedule, Salarpur residents could eventually have access to a permanent, modern community facility within their own neighbourhood, reducing their dependence on expensive private venues for major events.
