Faridabad to Develop 190-Acre Aero Entertainment City in Sector 66

HSIIDC plans a large-scale Aero & Entertainment City in Faridabad’s IMT Sector 66, aiming to boost tourism, retail, and hospitality while benefiting from upcoming connectivity to Jewar Airport.

  • 190-acre integrated entertainment and commercial hub planned in IMT Faridabad
  • Project to include theme parks, hotels, retail, and multiplexes
  • Strong connectivity boost via upcoming Noida International Airport

Faridabad: Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has proposed a 190-acre Aero & Entertainment Global Commercial City in Sector 66 of IMT Faridabad. The project is expected to redefine the city’s commercial and leisure landscape.

Spread across 190.08 acres, the upcoming development is being positioned as a modern, integrated destination combining entertainment, hospitality, and retail. Officials believe the project could help Faridabad emerge as a strong alternative to Gurugram’s established commercial hubs.

The proposed Aero City will feature a wide mix of attractions, including theme parks, water parks, multiplexes, and family entertainment zones. Alongside these, the plan also includes high-street retail spaces, luxury hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments, creating a complete lifestyle destination.

Interestingly, the project is also designed to cater to a broader audience, with provisions for dharamshalas and tourist accommodations, making it accessible to visitors from different income segments—not just premium or corporate travellers.

According to feasibility reports, Sector 66 is already designated as a commercial zone under the Final Development Plan 2031, and the state plans to adopt a mixed land-use approach to maximise its potential as a global entertainment hub.

Connectivity is expected to play a crucial role in the project’s success. The upcoming 31-km greenfield expressway will connect Faridabad directly to the Noida International Airport, reducing travel time to nearly 20 minutes. This is likely to boost tourism, hospitality demand, and real estate activity in the region.

State Minister and local MLA Vipul Goel described the initiative as a turning point for the city, stating that Faridabad is now stepping out of Gurugram’s shadow and receiving focused development attention.

With improved infrastructure and strategic location advantages, officials expect the Aero Entertainment City to emerge as a key commercial, cultural, and hospitality hub in NCR, unlocking new investment opportunities and enhancing Faridabad’s overall growth trajectory.
