Chennai: South Indian film star Nayanthara and her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, have purchased a luxury duplex apartment in Chennai’s prestigious Poes Garden neighbourhood for ₹31.5 crore, according to property registration data.

The apartment is located in the Legacy project and was acquired from Landmark Metro Projects. Data sourced from property analytics platform Zapkey shows the transaction value translates to roughly ₹21,946 per square foot.

Ownership records indicate that Nayanthara holds a 90% share in the property, while Vignesh Shivan owns the remaining 10% stake. The purchase reflects the couple’s continued investment in prime residential real estate in Chennai.

The acquisition comes as Nayanthara continues to expand her presence in pan-India cinema, following several high-profile projects in recent years. The actor married director Vignesh Shivan in 2022, and the couple later welcomed twins through surrogacy.
