Godrej Enterprises Group introduces the Eon Inspire and Edge Impress refrigerator range, blending curved-door aesthetics with modern cooling technology as Indian consumers increasingly prioritise design-driven home appliances.

  • Curved door design inspired by Godrej’s first refrigerator from 1958

  • India’s first direct cool refrigerator with touch controls on the handle

  • Prices start at Rs 29,000, with pan-India and online availability

Godrej Enterprises Group has expanded its refrigerator portfolio with the launch of the Eon Inspire and Edge Impress range, focusing on design, convenience, and updated technology. The new lineup was announced on January 6, 2026, reflecting a growing trend among Indian households to view appliances as part of home décor rather than just utility products.

The latest refrigerators draw inspiration from Godrej’s legacy, revisiting the brand’s first India-made refrigerator from 1958 while reinterpreting it for contemporary homes. The company says the new range is aimed at consumers who want appliances that visually blend with modern interiors.

Design and capacity options

Both Eon Inspire and Edge Impress models feature a fluid curved door design, moving away from traditional straight-edged silhouettes. According to Godrej, this approach adds visual continuity and helps the refrigerators complement modern kitchen layouts. Select models also feature floral-inspired patterns, offering variety across colour options.

The range is available in capacities starting from 194 litres up to 330 litres, making it suitable for small families as well as larger households. Customers can choose between direct cool and frost-free variants, depending on usage preferences.

Technology and user-friendly features

One of the standout additions is India’s first direct cool refrigerator with touch controls integrated into the door handle. The handle-mounted digital panel allows users to adjust temperature settings and activate modes without opening the door. Godrej notes that the interface is water-resistant and designed for everyday ease, helping improve energy efficiency by reducing unnecessary door openings.

The refrigerators also include cooling technologies aimed at maintaining consistent performance across different storage conditions, aligning with the needs of modern Indian kitchens.

What the company says

Anup Bhargava, Product Group Head – Refrigerators at Godrej Appliances, said the focus was on making daily usage simpler through intuitive controls that adapt to evolving consumer needs. Kamal Pandit, Head of Design, added that the new range revisits Godrej’s early design philosophy while balancing minimalism, usability, and modern aesthetics.

Price and availability

The Eon Inspire and Edge Impress refrigerators are priced between Rs 29,000 and Rs 56,000. The new models will be available across leading e-commerce platforms and retail stores nationwide, strengthening Godrej’s presence in the mid-to-premium refrigerator segment.
