Mumbai: India’s star cricketer Shubman Gill has made a major move in the luxury real estate market, purchasing a premium apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Juhu locality for ₹20.7 crore, as per property registration documents.
The apartment is located in Pooja Luminaire, a residential project on Juhu Tara Road. Gill has acquired the entire 12th floor of the building, offering a spacious 3,369 sq ft RERA carpet area, reflecting a preference for privacy and exclusivity.
The property was purchased from Pooja Leisure and Lifestyle, a firm linked to Bollywood personalities including Jacky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, and Pooja Bhagnani. The transaction was officially registered on March 26, 2026, with a stamp duty payment of ₹1.24 crore and a registration fee of ₹30,000.
According to Maharashtra RERA records, the project is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by August 2029. The development will feature 14 apartments across 19 floors, offering a mix of configurations including 1 BHK, 2 BHK, 4 BHK, and duplex units.
Gill’s purchase is part of a broader trend where top Indian cricketers are increasingly investing in Mumbai’s high-end residential market. The city continues to attract athletes and celebrities seeking long-term value and premium lifestyle living.
Recently, Suryakumar Yadav’s wife Devisha Yadav bought a luxury apartment worth ₹7.18 crore in Deonar, adding to her earlier investments in the same project exceeding ₹21 crore.
Similarly, Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh purchased a high-end apartment in Prabhadevi for ₹26.30 crore, while former cricketer Zaheer Khan, along with his family, invested around ₹11 crore in a luxury property on Elphinstone Road.
