Shraddha Kapoor Renews Juhu Apartment Lease, Pays ₹72 Lakh Upfront

• Lease renewed at ₹6 lakh per month for 12 months

The renewal agreement was officially registered on February 25, 2026. The apartment, located in the Prime Beach residential building in Juhu, measures approximately 365 square metres (3,929 square feet) and includes access to four basement parking spaces.

Documents accessed via real estate data platforms indicate that the lease tenure is for 12 months under a leave-and-license agreement. The deal involved a stamp duty payment of ₹36,000 and registration charges of ₹1,000.

Notably, the actress has chosen to pay the entire year’s rent in advance. The agreement also states that in case of payment default, the licensor is entitled to charge 18% annual interest compounded quarterly from the due date until realisation.

Real estate experts say such upfront payments can sometimes help tenants negotiate favourable terms, particularly in high-demand micro-markets like Juhu.

Juhu continues to rank among Mumbai’s most sought-after residential neighbourhoods. The area is known for its sea-facing homes, premium gated developments, and proximity to key commercial and lifestyle hubs.

Its connectivity via the Western Express Highway and JVPD roads, along with easy access to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, makes it attractive to high-net-worth individuals and celebrities. The locality has long been home to prominent film personalities including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, and Varun Dhawan.

With Mumbai rentals witnessing steady growth, maintaining the same rent as the previous term stands out in the current market environment, especially when supported by a full advance payment.
