Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday highlighted the strategic importance of the real estate sector in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, calling upon developers to actively partner with the Centre and state governments in nation-building.

Speaking at the National Conclave of CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India) in Delhi, the Chief Minister said real estate extends beyond construction activity and plays a transformative role in shaping lives, businesses, and cities. “Homes are where dreams are built, livelihoods are created, and communities grow,” he said, according to an official statement.

CM Patel underlined the government’s commitment to Housing for All, noting that initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana aim to provide permanent housing to the poorest sections of society. He urged real estate developers to align their efforts with public policies to accelerate affordable and inclusive housing.

The Chief Minister also stressed the need for Indian design sensibilities powered by global technology, encouraging developers to reflect the spirit of Made in India while preserving the country’s heritage and cultural values. He called for future-ready housing that balances aesthetics, affordability, and functionality.

Highlighting sustainability as a priority, CM Patel emphasised eco-friendly construction, green buildings, innovation-led research, and long-term planning to manage resources amid rapid urbanisation. He said environmentally responsible development would be key to improving quality of life in growing cities.

Referring to Gujarat’s growth journey over the last 25 years, CM Patel said the state has emerged as a national benchmark for planned urban development under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Gujarat has become India’s most urbanised state, supported by systems such as single-window clearances, digital land records, and time-bound approvals.

He added that Gujarat’s focus on renewable energy, water conservation, waste management, and green infrastructure has made it one of the most attractive destinations for real estate investment in the country.

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister said a Viksit Bharat must embody Atmanirbharta, ease of doing business, and high quality of life. He urged the real estate sector to create cities that are liveable, inclusive, sustainable, and resilient, aligned with India’s long-term development goals.
