  • $170 million deal becomes Miami-Dade County’s largest residential sale

  • Mansion located in ultra-exclusive Indian Creek Island, known as “Billionaire Bunker”

  • Property features nine bedrooms, private dock, secret library passage and luxury amenities

Miami: Tech billionaire and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has purchased a luxury waterfront mansion worth $170 million in Miami’s ultra-exclusive Indian Creek Island, setting a new record for the most expensive residential property sale in Miami-Dade County.

According to reports, Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan completed the high-profile transaction earlier this week. The purchase ranks among the most expensive residential deals in the United States, though it still trails the national record set in 2019 when billionaire Ken Griffin bought a New York penthouse for roughly $238 million.

Inside the “Billionaire Bunker”

The property sits on Indian Creek Island, a private man-made barrier island in Biscayne Bay that has earned the nickname “Billionaire Bunker.” The 300-acre island features just 41 waterfront estates, making it one of the most exclusive residential communities in America.

The gated enclave is home to several high-profile residents from business and sports, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former NFL star Tom Brady. The island is known for its tight security, private golf course, and secluded waterfront properties.

Luxury Mansion with High-End Amenities

The mansion, currently under construction, spans about 30,000 square feet and sits on nearly two acres of waterfront land. The property was developed by celebrity cosmetic surgeon Dr. Aaron Rollins and his wife, real estate agent Marine Rollins, who purchased the site for over $30 million in 2020 before designing the estate.

Plans for the ultra-luxury home include:

  • Nine bedrooms and 15 bathrooms

  • A private gym, massage room, and hair salon

  • A library with a hidden secret passageway

  • A party room and 1,500-gallon aquarium

Outdoor amenities will feature a heated swimming pool, landscaped gardens, 200 feet of waterfront frontage, and a private dock, making it ideal for luxury waterfront living.

Part of Zuckerberg’s Expanding Property Portfolio

The Miami purchase adds to Zuckerberg’s growing collection of luxury homes across the United States. His real estate portfolio already includes properties in Palo Alto, Lake Tahoe, and Hawaii, many of which are located in highly private and secure locations.

Real estate analysts say the record-breaking deal reflects the continued demand for ultra-luxury waterfront homes in Miami, a city that has increasingly become a magnet for billionaires, tech entrepreneurs, and global investors seeking privacy, security, and tax advantages.
