  • Essence range adds wall-hung toilets and redesigned washbasins

  • Triple Vortex flush technology focuses on hygiene and water efficiency

GROHE, the global premium brand known for bathroom and kitchen fittings, has announced its entry into India’s ceramics market with the launch of the Essence Ceramics Collection, marking a significant step in its expansion strategy for the country.

The new range strengthens GROHE’s existing Essence portfolio by introducing sanitary ceramics such as wall-hung toilets and washbasins, enabling the brand to offer a more complete and cohesive bathroom solution. Designed to blend seamlessly with GROHE fittings, the collection focuses on minimalist aesthetics, enhanced hygiene, and everyday functionality tailored for Indian homes.

At the core of the collection is a refined design philosophy built around clarity, subtle detailing, and organic forms. The washbasins feature ultra-slim 6 mm profiles and are available in multiple configurations, including vessel and countertop styles. Shape options such as round and lozenge designs provide architects and homeowners greater flexibility to personalise contemporary bathroom layouts.

Beyond design, the collection is backed by advanced engineering. A key innovation in the WC lineup is the GROHE Triple Vortex flush system, which uses three water outlets to deliver a powerful yet quiet flush. The system ensures thorough bowl cleaning while optimising water usage, addressing growing concerns around hygiene and sustainability.

Commenting on the launch, Priya Rustogi, Leader (Managing Director), India, LIXIL IMEA, said GROHE’s focus is on creating bathrooms as fully integrated ecosystems. She highlighted that local manufacturing of the Essence wall-hung toilet reflects the company’s commitment to the Indian market, making premium-quality products more accessible without compromising on global standards.

GROHE plans to introduce the Essence Ceramics Collection through experiential retail formats and architect-led engagement. Enhanced in-store displays at partner outlets and LIXIL Studios will help customers and professionals better understand the design, performance, and hygiene benefits of the range.

With this launch, GROHE positions itself to tap into India’s growing demand for well-designed, hygienic, and water-efficient bathroom solutions, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the country’s evolving residential and commercial markets.
