Bahraich: Big FM, one of India’s leading radio networks operated by Reliance Broadcast Network, has announced its entry into the real estate sector with the launch of a new business division named Big FM Realty. The move signals the company’s diversification beyond media and broadcasting into property development.
As part of its first real estate venture, the company has acquired around 80 acres of land along the Lucknow–Bahraich Road in Uttar Pradesh. The project is planned as a large mixed-use township that will include plotted developments, group housing, and commercial as well as retail spaces.
According to the company, the initial project is expected to generate approximately ₹1,200 crore in revenue. Over the next three years, Big FM Realty aims to build a strong presence in the sector with a target of ₹3,500–4,000 crore in cumulative revenue from its real estate projects.
The location of the development is likely to benefit from upcoming infrastructure improvements in the region. One of the major upgrades includes the four-laning of National Highway 927 (NH-927), which will enhance connectivity between Lucknow and areas closer to the India–Nepal border. Improved road infrastructure is expected to boost both residential demand and commercial activity in the region.
Industry observers note that emerging cities like Bahraich are increasingly attracting interest from developers due to improving connectivity, lower land costs, and growing urban expansion from nearby economic hubs such as Lucknow.
Commenting on the launch, a spokesperson from Big FM Realty said the new venture represents an important step in the company’s growth strategy. The spokesperson added that the brand aims to bring the same level of trust and credibility built through its media presence into the real estate sector.
The company also stated that its developments will focus on well-planned layouts, quality construction, and modern urban amenities, ensuring both lifestyle benefits and long-term value for buyers and investors.
With the launch of Big FM Realty, the company joins a growing list of corporate brands expanding into the real estate sector as demand for integrated townships and planned communities continues to rise across India.
