Ramco Cements Sells Non-Core Assets to Prestige Estates for ₹514.9 Crore

Ramco Cements Limited has completed the sale of non-core assets valued at ₹514.90 crore to Prestige Estates Projects Limited, marking a significant step in the company’s ongoing debt reduction and business streamlining strategy. The transaction was executed through an absolute sale deed and involves land owned by Ramco Cements. Proceeds from the sale will be used to lower the company’s borrowings, supporting balance sheet strengthening efforts.
This latest transaction takes Ramco Cements’ total monetisation of non-core assets to ₹1,016.92 crore, exceeding the initial target of ₹1,000 crore. The company has also announced plans to monetise additional non-core assets valued at approximately ₹200 crore, expected to be completed by February 28, 2026.
Ramco Cements first outlined its asset monetisation strategy during the Q2 FY25 results announcement in November 2024, by which time it had already sold assets worth ₹502.02 crore. The company emphasised that the sale to Prestige Estates was conducted at arm’s length and did not involve any promoter group entities or related parties.
Financial Performance Update
On the financial front, Ramco Cements reported a consolidated net profit of ₹77.88 crore for the quarter ended September 2025, more than three times the ₹25.77 crore recorded in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations rose 9.5% year-on-year to ₹2,238.74 crore in Q2 FY26, compared with ₹2,044.13 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY25.
The sale of non-core assets and robust quarterly performance underline Ramco Cements’ strategic focus on debt reduction, operational efficiency, and long-term financial health, positioning the company for sustained growth in the coming years.
